Website hosting and remaining information-handling details are awaiting confirmation. This page is prepared for review before publication.
01Who this policy covers
Natural Carbon Works is operated by NCW Advisory (ABN 55 158 929 411). This policy describes how NCW Advisory handles personal information in connection with the Natural Carbon Works website and biomass and sustainable trade enquiries. For privacy enquiries, contact office@naturalcarbon.works.
It covers information about identifiable individuals, including people contacting us on behalf of a business. It does not replace confidentiality provisions agreed for a particular engagement.
02Information you provide
If you send us an email, we receive your email address, the name associated with it, your message and any attachments. Depending on what you choose to provide, this may include your role, company, telephone number, business contacts and project requirements.
The enquiry form prepares an email draft in your own email application. It does not send the enquiry to a website database. We receive the enquiry only if you send the email. Your email provider may save the draft under its own settings and policies.
Please include only information relevant to your enquiry. Avoid sending identity documents, sensitive personal information or another person’s details unless necessary and you are authorised to share them. You may make a general enquiry without giving your full name; some services require us to identify the parties involved.
03How information is used
Information you send is used to respond to you, understand an opportunity, prepare a proposal and, where agreed, deliver services. It may also be needed to manage business records, resolve complaints or meet legal obligations.
Providing relevant details is voluntary. Without enough information, we may be unable to assess your request or provide a service. Sending an enquiry does not sign you up for a mailing list.
04Website, cookies and external services
The current website has no account registration, online payment facility, advertising pixels or analytics scripts. Its own code does not set cookies or save enquiry details in browser storage.
Fonts load from Google Fonts. This makes a connection to Google’s servers and sends technical request information such as your IP address, browser information and the requested font address. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google’s handling of that information.
When the site is hosted online, the hosting and network providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times and pages requested to deliver and secure the site. Hosting details and any provider-level cookies must be confirmed before this draft is published.
Links to other websites open services with their own privacy practices. The plantation photograph is served with this website; viewing it does not itself connect you to the stock-photo website.
06Storage, security and retention
Enquiry correspondence is held in the business email system and may form part of records for a subsequent engagement. Access should be limited to people who need it for the relevant work. Reasonable safeguards must be maintained for the systems used; no internet transmission or storage method is completely secure.
Personal information should be kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, an ongoing engagement or applicable recordkeeping and legal requirements. When no longer needed, it should be securely deleted or de-identified, subject to those requirements.
07Access, correction and complaints
Contact office@naturalcarbon.works to request access to personal information about you, ask for a correction or raise a privacy complaint. Describe the information or issue and how you would like us to respond. We may need to verify your identity without collecting more information than necessary.
We will review your request, make reasonable enquiries and explain the outcome and any further steps. We aim to respond within 30 days; if more time is needed, we will explain why and give an expected response time. Where an access or correction request cannot be met, we will explain the reason, subject to applicable law.
If you are dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). The OAIC can explain whether the matter falls within its jurisdiction. This policy does not limit any privacy rights you have under applicable law.
08Changes and contact
We will update this page when the website or information-handling practices change. The date at the top identifies this version. You can request a copy or ask for help understanding it by emailing office@naturalcarbon.works.
